Art'Talou - Exhibition of oil paintings and photographs

Exhibition at “La Forge” from May 31 to October 4, 2026.

A few words from the artist:

"The mountains and the tranquility of these places, which are so magical are essential to me.

Originally from Valais, I grew up there and have never left this magnificent region, which inspires me with its rich beauty and majestic peaks; this allows me to freely express my passions for alpine hiking, oil painting, and photography.

The Val d’Hérens is a region I particularly appreciate for its beauty and the authenticity of its landscapes.

With my camera, I tirelessly savor my many hikes and am thus able to capture specific moments, a particular light, an atmosphere, guided by my feelings and desires. Sometimes I draw inspiration from some of these photos to create my paintings; with oil paint, I enjoy painting according to my feelings, I seek out nuances through light and shadow, I bring colors to life; through my brushes I am free, I escape, I roam, time stands still. In this way, for a fleeting moment, I can capture the beauty of these landscapes.

The mountain and its magnificent peaks, its unique, beautiful, and sculptural forms; standing still before such beauty, such varied structures, and such imposing rocks, I feel all the power, strength, and serenity that radiate from them; I consciously savor a sense of solitude and peace; another world opens up to me; this mountain, so beautiful and yet so fragile, rugged, sometimes merciless and tragic, commands respect, humility, and simplicity; I find my balance where the rock seems so hard and the silence so deep—I am alive. Through it, I cast aside all the daily dictates to focus only on the essential; nature offers us an exceptional and grandiose panorama in its natural state, and I tirelessly savor the present moment.
