Traversée Grande Dixence - Cabane des Dix

This hike starts at the top of the Grande Dixence dam. You can reach it by cable car or on foot (45 minutes). Then walk along the Lac des Dix to the bottom, where the ascent to the Cabane des Dix via the Pas de Chat begins. The path is narrow, be careful. You will then cross the torrent of Cheilon and continue your walk on a ridge which will offer you a view on the Mont Blanc of Cheilon and the surrounding mountains. After several hours of walking, you finally arrive at the Cabane des Dix where you can spend the night. The return can be done by the Col de Riedmatten where you will arrive in Arolla or by the way up.
