This year will see the 40th edition of the famous Thyon - Dixence race. The start will be in Thyon 2000 and the finish will be on the wall of the Grande Dixence dam. Travel through the Valaisan Alps: a breathtaking setting, under the gaze of the Matterhorn and the Dent Blanche.

This beautiful adventure has been renewed for twenty-five years now on a varied course in a grandiose setting.
The course is set in one of the most beautiful valleys in the Valais Alps. The route follows mountain roads and paths under the majestic gaze of mountains such as the Dent-Blanche or the Matterhorn.
The participants follow the banks of a small lake at high altitude or the steepest rocks at an altitude of between 2100 and 2450 m. The length of the course is 16km 350 with a positive difference in altitude of 700m.
The goal of this route in the Val des Dix can be seen from the start: the Grande Dixence dam. The finish is on the dam wall, in the middle of the dam.
