Thyon-Dixence Pedestrian Race

Rockslide and change of route
A rockslide has forced the closure of the road to the Grande Dixence dam. The Thyon-Dixence race remains on course, with the finish moved to Pralong.

New route
The route remains the same for the first 12 kilometres, then deviates along an old road with a 400 m negative gradient. It then joins the route de la Dixence, then follows the river as far as Pralong, behind the Restaurant du Val des Dix.

Refreshment points
Two refreshment points will be available at Essertse and Orchère, plus one at the finish.

Access and transport
The Pralong site is accessible by car or bus. Shuttle buses will take participants back to Thyon 2000 (included in the registration fee).

Changing rooms and toilets
Toilets will be available at the finish. No changing rooms or showers. Runners' bags will be transported as usual.

Prize-giving ceremony
The ceremony will take place in Pralong at around 3pm.

From 6:30 am: Opening of the starting office. No on-site registration.

7:30 am - 10:00 am: A la carte starts for the Popular category in 30-minute blocks, with a maximum of 170 participants per block.

11:00am: Line-up start for Runners - Elite categories

From 9 a.m.: First arrivals on the dam wall
