Skiing in the 4 Vallées ski area

Just 17 minutes from the Valais capital of Sion, the Les Masses chairlift is the closest point of access to the 4 Vallées ski area.

The 200-space Les Masses indoor car park is free all day, and there is a lift to the chairlift departure point. From here, you can ski the 450 kilometres of pistes in Switzerland's largest ski area.

Thyon's slopes are vast and varied, with something for everyone. There are numerous chairlifts and ski lifts, as well as a beginners' area and a route to Léteygeon. 

Snow conditions are optimal from December to April.

Information

At the start of the Les Masses chairlift, there is an information point and a cash desk where you can buy your daily ski passes. 

Ski area opening dates

• Weekends from November 15 onwards
• Daily opening from Saturday, December 6, 2025 to Monday, April 12, 2026
