Opening of access to the Grande Dixence dam

Good news! The Grande Dixence site will reopen on Saturday 9 August at 6am 🎉

After several weeks of closure following a rockfall, road access, tourist facilities (restaurant, hotel, cable car, dam tours) and all approved footpaths – including Méribé–Dixence – are once again open to the public ✅

🚫 The only exceptions are the zip line, which remains closed, and certain areas of the dam crest and car park at the foot of the dam, which remain cordoned off for safety reasons.
