Grande Dixence SA 75th anniversary exhibition

Grande Dixence SA celebrates its 75th anniversary with a travelling exhibition in Hérémence

To mark its 75ᵉ anniversary, Grande Dixence SA is inviting the residents of Hérémence to discover an original travelling exhibition that traces the history, challenges and impact of the company that owns Switzerland's largest hydroelectric scheme.

The exhibition will be on display at La Salle de la Bourgeoisie in Hérémence from 3 to 7 September 2025

For five days, visitors will be able to immerse themselves in the world of Grande Dixence SA thanks to an immersive scenography:

• Opening on Wednesday 3 September 2025 at 6:30pm, in the presence of representatives of Grande Dixence SA and the local authorities;
• Public visits on Thursday (4pm - 8pm), Friday (4pm - 8pm), Saturday (9am - 3pm) and Sunday (9am - 3pm).

Through models, archive images and animations, this exhibition highlights the titanic construction of Grande Dixence, its essential role for our canton and for Switzerland's energy supply, and its prospects for the future.

Whether you're a history buff, curious to go behind the scenes of hydroelectricity or simply looking for an enriching outing, this exhibition will take you on a journey through time and the challenges of producing renewable, flexible energy.
