Corpus Christi

Corpus Christi in Hérémence is a major annual event, celebrated on the second Thursday after Pentecost. This tradition dates back several generations and bears witness to the community's deep attachment to its Catholic roots and local customs.

On this day, the locals dress up in their traditional costumes and take part in a solemn procession featuring the Blessed Sacrament. Although tinged with folklore, this event is above all a moment of devotion and solidarity, illustrating the spiritual commitment and cohesion of the Hérémence community.

The Fête Dieu is also an opportunity for visitors to discover the cultural richness of the region, while taking part in an age-old tradition that unites the inhabitants around their village identity.

This annual celebration is a cornerstone of parish life in Hérémence and embodies the values of faith, tradition and conviviality that are dear to the community. It is in this spirit that the residents invite you to join in the festivities and share this moment of communion and sharing together.
