Alpine hike Grande Dixence - Arolla

Follow in the footsteps of Céline, a mountain guide, as she takes you on this high-altitude route, an essential stage of the official Val d'Hérens walking tour.

Discover the Val d'Hérens on foot, starting from the famous Grande Dixence dam, the highest gravity dam in the world, and ending in Arolla, a village resort on the legendary Haute Route. During this day, you will be able to admire peaks over 3,500 metres high and cross the iconic ‘Col de Riedmatten’ between the Val des Dix and Arolla.

Minimum 5 participants - maximum 10 participants

Duration: all day (6 hours of actual walking - approximately 8 hours in the mountains)

Demanding hike with prerequisites and not suitable for those who are afraid of heights (it is essential to have previous experience of hiking in the mountains)
